man…
there’s been too many times, including tonight, when i decide to pop in halo 3 and go into matchmaking late at night.
and it never fails, when i decide to go into team matches, i get paired up with the worst possible teammates…
but that’s that. whatev. better luck tomorrow night.
anyways, i got my latest issue of Game Informer from gamestop the other day and low and behold, the cover features some familiar faces. those faces belonging to the rocking guitar players of guitar hero.
but what’s this? johnny napalm with drum sticks?
yep. it’s official, GHIV is on it’s way and there are LOADS of new features that your’s truly, can’t wait for.
although i must say, is it really necessary for them to put out a drum set as well?
i mean, this is GUITAR hero… drums, C your way out of here. rock band is where you belong.
and good luck to those trying to get a girlfriend when she sees that you have 2 virtual drums sets.”you rock!” (and you’re about to sink like one).
however, drum sets aren’t the only rock band related upgrade for the latest installment of the guitar hero era.
other notable features:
create-a-character
create-a-tattoo/band logo/guitar
performers interact with each other more
but more importantly, the newest feature Create-A-Song should strike as a very new and innovative way to play the game. i’m not exactly too sure how you would do such a thing, but what i got out of the article, you can customize chords and patterns and have all of the other instruments to play the same patterns. sounds awesome to me and i look forward to the new option.
developers also mentioned more DLC goodies. that’s DownLoadable Content for all of our lamens out there. i was very pleased to see a FREE Dropkick Murphys track pack for GH3 when St. Patrick’s Day came around this past March. hope to see more free gifts in the future.
so i can’t wait. not only for this game, but for next month’s release of Guitar Hero: Aerosmith!
my dad introduced me to aerosmith when i was young and lame. but i soon fell in love with the amazing classic rock they provided to my ears. man oh man i can’t wait until the end of june!!!
and so in conclusion, what songs do you think should end up on Guitar Hero 4??
i am actually quite surprised that Steely Dan’s “Reelin’ In the Years” hasn’t made it yet
so there’s my vote:
Steely Dan - Reelin’ In the Years
what’s your’s?
peace!

Yeah I read on Yahoo news a few days ago about the new Guitar Hero, wondering how they will do the ‘create a song’ option.
Id like to see some Iron Maiden tracks, maybe Wasted Years, or Rhyme of the Ancient Mariner.
