The Busy Gamer Reckon Crew will be in Austin this weekend for the Staple Independent Media Expo taking place at the Monarch Event Center on Saturday March 1.

Attending the convention will be some of the most talented artists on the web. Scott Kurtz of PvP Online will be in attendance to kick off his strip’s tenth anniversary. If you haven’t read Scott’s creation, you should do so at his site.

Also attending is the creator of Girls With Slingshots, Danielle Corsetto. The humor behind her characters is clever and any strip with a drunken, talking cactus as a mascot has to be respected. You can check out the antics of Hazel and Jamie here.

Kris Straub of Starslip Crisis fame will also be in attendance. If luxury battle cruisers converted into museums and then becoming embroiled in wars that involve the space-time continuum are your thing, check out his strip here. Oh, and there’s humor too. TIME TRAVEL HUMOR!!! Ahem.

Old style art with clever new writing is David Malki’s thing. Witty and funny, we should all hope he gets a job working for Jay Leno. Haha, see what I did there? At any rate, check out his site here.
